Hello, I'm Angela Meringolo.
I am an accredited mindfulness teacher qualified with Mindfulness Now, a programme that combines elements of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
I trained at the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, Mindfulness Now, which is approved by the British Psychological Society and am also an accredited teacher on the Mindfulness Teachers Register.
I'm bilingual and can teach in English and Italian.
Since May 2021, I am a Mental Health First Aider, qualified with MHFA England, and I also have a level 2 Award in Effective Listening Skills from the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
Although my counselling training enhances my work, I am not a counsellor. If you are looking for talking therapy, please ask your GP for a referral or you can refer yourself using the IAPT services on the NHS website.
The road to teaching
I started practicing meditation in 2012, during a quite stressful and challenging time in my life. My mind at the time was racing, ruminating on the past and worrying about the future, while feeling overwhelmed by the multiple demands of the present. The first meditation session I ever attended was extremely helpful and revealing. Afterwards I felt very relaxed and light, as if I had freed myself of a heavy load of worries and left them finally behind me. I felt at peace with myself. I felt that with this a new world was unfolding for me. I started attending regular classes and weekend retreats, and slowly I learned to be more present and more compassionate towards myself and others, and this had a positive chain effect in all aspects of my life.
Over time I have become more interested in the broader concept of secular meditation and mindfulness.
I decided to embrace meditation as a life-long practice, part of my spiritual growth and maintenance as well as an important source of mental health wellbeing.
Having seen first-hand the benefits that mindfulness can bring to anyone’s existence, I have decided to train to be able to teach others how to bring this amazing practice into their daily lives.

"Angela is a wonderful professional. She introduced me to mindfulness and meditation and helped me discover a "me" that I had not known until that moment.
She guided me in the discovery of the power of calmness and the beauty of having a richer inner life."

"I cannot thank you enough. I just had a conversation on the phone with the estate agent that normally gets to my nerves, and instead of the usual frustrating and irritating experience, I had a pleasant human interaction with him and we have come to a place of mutual understanding. After our sessions I feel calm, able to see things clearly and manage any task effectively. This is being so helpful to me. Thank you."
